Hit Single “Sweater Weather” certified Platinum by the RIAA

(New York, NY; Columbia Records; January 21, 2014) –Los Angeles outfit The Neighbourhood has announced a North American headline tour set for the spring. The dates, which follow select UK dates with The 1975, kick off March 7 in Phoenix, AZ and see the band crossing the U.S. and Canada through early April (see tour itinerary below). The Neighbourhood broke out with hit singles “Sweater Weather” and “Afraid” from their debut album I Love You. “Sweater Weather,” which Billboard described as “deeply compelling,” was recently certified platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of 1 Million units and had one of the longest runs on the 2013 radio charts. The song was also praised by Rolling Stone, who noted “Layering hasn’t sounded this cool since ‘The Sweater Song.’” follow up single “Afraid,” praised by Billboard for its “edgy, subtle hooks,”is seeing similar success, currently top 5 at Alternative Radio. Additionally, over the holidays the band released two new tracks for their fans, UNFAIR and SILVER from the upcoming #000000 & #FFFFFF project.

 

The Neighbourhood completed a sold-out nationwide headline tour in fall/winter 2013 after spending the summer on a string of tour dates supporting Imagine Dragons, and will spend February touring the UK with The 1975.
